During Your Cycle: Simply wash your disc with warm water and a mild, unscented soap between uses. Rinse well and reinsert.

How to Sterilize (Microwave Method): Perform a deep clean at the beginning and end of each cycle.

Unfold & Place: Pop open your collapsible CupMate and place your washed L'unica disc inside.
Add Water: Fill the CupMate with clean water until the disc is completely submerged.
Keep it Vented (Important): Place the lid on top, but do not seal it completely. Leave a small gap for the steam to escape safely.
Microwave: Heat it in the microwave for 3 to 5 minutes.
Cool Down: Carefully remove it from the microwave (the CupMate may be hot after heating.) and let the water cool naturally before handling your disc.

No Microwave? No Problem (Boiling Water Method): If you are traveling or don't have access to a microwave, simply place your disc in the expanded CupMate, pour boiling water over it until submerged, put the lid on, and let it steep for 5 to 10 minutes.

Caring for your CupMate: Between cycles, wash your CupMate with mild soap and warm water. Let it air dry completely before collapsing and storing it.

L'unica On the Go: Public Restrooms Handling your disc while out and about is simple and discreet. If you need to empty your disc and don't have access to a private sink in the stall, don't worry. You can simply wipe the disc clean with dry toilet paper and reinsert it. Alternatively, you can bring a small bottle of water into the stall to give it a quick rinse over the toilet. Just remember to wash it thoroughly with mild soap and warm water once you return to the comfort of your home.

How to use

Preparation: Wash your hands and relax. Finding your calm is the best guide. Choose a comfortable position (standing or squatting).

Insertion: Pinch the disc in the middle to form an “8” shape. Insert it horizontally into the vaginal canal, pointing back toward your tailbone (not upward).

The Secure Fit: Use your finger to tuck the front rim upward, securely behind your pubic bone. If placed correctly, you shouldn’t feel it at all.

Removal: With clean hands, hook your finger under the front rim and gently pull it out, keeping the disc level to avoid spills.
Finding the right angle may take a little practice and that is completely normal.

A properly inserted L'unica disc should be completely leak-free and imperceptible. If you experience any spotting or leaking, it usually means the disc hasn't been pushed far enough back. When inserting, remember to aim back and slightly downwards toward your tailbone. Once it can't go any further, firmly tuck the front rim UP and behind your pubic bone. Think of it as resting on a small ledge - once it's securely tucked, you are good to go!
